Can Drinks Make You Gain Weight?


Many popular drinks sold today are sugar-laden soft drinks which, in addition to containing large amounts of high fructose corn syrup, often contain the much more insidious form of sugar – glucose saturation gemverting agents (GSAs). The main function of these GSAs is to indefinitely prolong the shelf life of sugary items, but they also have another side effect that Coca Cola insists on their website is “so small it can’t be noticed.”
Natural fruit juices are not necessarily bad for you when consumed in moderation if your goal isn’t weight loss because they provide some vitamins and minerals. It’s just best to watch how much juice you’re drinking each day and what else is in it if it’s particularly sweet.
