Siberian Huskies are an arctic breed. They can live in hot weather so long as they get sufficient opportunity to rest and drink water. That means giving them the shade they need during the day, and then at night you should cover or remove their blankets so that it doesn’t feel like they’re trapped under a heated sheet all night!
If your Husky has access to shade outdoors, don’t allow him/her to follow you into a stuffy car – heatstroke is always a risk. If it’s really going to be hot outside, you’ll want to reduce physical activity during peak hours of the day for a good 10 hours beforehand, but take care not to over-rest them as this too can lead to heat…
