Fruit does not contain any dietary proteins in the form of amino acids, but it does contains good sources of fiber, which are necessary for a healthy diet.
A review is published in the “Eating Disorders Review” journal that suggests that individuals with anorexia nervosa consume greater amounts of fruit when compared to people without eating disorders. This study also found that increased intake of fruit was associated with less bulimic behaviors among women with anorexia nervosa.
