How Drinks Are Carbonated?

2 main ways that drinks are carbonated:

a) though a process that injects carbon dioxide into the drink, either before filling or after. This is called “charged” CO2 and is the most common form of carbonation.

b) through more complex processes for some beers and ciders, where yeast acts on sugar or malted barley to produce bubbles of gas without storing the CO2 as liquid under pressure.
