First, make sure you know the make and model of your laptop because we will need to find out which type of DVD drive you have. Next, we’ll need to find the location of where the DVD drive is installed and unscrew it from its position.
A laptop can either be a desktop replacement or a netbook. We will begin by finding out what kind it is because they’re different. If you unplug your power cord and flip open the keyboard, look at the sides for one that says “DVD” or has holes in it that look like key sleeves for discs (so if somebody took it apart before opening up their computer).
