It’s very rare that any of your pets will show you affection by crawling into your lap or licking your face. For the most part, if you ask for an expression of affection, they’ll bring it to you. This is because affection is not a sign of submissiveness but actually something only provided to those who are worthy of receiving it. The more submissive they feel towards their human, the closer they’ll get in order to present them with an offering from their mouth…on the ground…or from trotting at their heels.
