It depends on what you mean by “good” and on your family’s needs.
A poodle is a very intelligent dog that can excel at many different dog competitions such as agility, tracking, and obedience trials. These competitions often try to measure how well the animal can learn its owner’s commands or follow its owner’s directions. If you’re looking for a family pet that might be able to represent you in some of these contests, then I would say yes it is a good family pet! But if you want something more low maintenance and without too much intelligence, then I would say no it isn’t so great of a choice…
