Computers are like muscles. They get weak when not used. Computers should always be left on, but it’s best to be sure they’ve booted up and you can use them for thirty minutes or so before trying to take any important actions (email, touch-based operations). Don’t forget power outages; if your computer gets infrequent power outages, make sure you take care of them before they happen again! You do this by rebooting the system just before or just after each outage. Use a scheduling tool that will automatically reboot the system at the appropriate time interval in case of failures during an outage event.
