GPUs are designed and manufactured in different regions depending on how advanced they are or the hardware company producing them.
For example, if a player has a high-end graphics card, then they’re likely to have it made in Europe because GPU production is expensive. On the other hand, low-end cards are made elsewhere because “the difference between a lead designer living in Paris versus Pakistan would be negligible.” China is also known for its PC components including memory chips that go into our PCs and laptops, but there are concerns of illegal child labor and environmental violations which come with this production.
South Korea ranks as the largest producer of graphics cards worldwide; last year 89% of all new graphical processing units were produced by Korean companies.
