Long Island Ice Tea is a great drink for people who want something with some serious strength. The “sweet and sour mix,” which is basically just simple syrup, makes the drink really sweet up until the point you get to the gin or vodka content. The top three ingredients are all sugar in different forms – simple syrup, honey flavored corn syrup flavoring (corn sugar), and high fructose corn syrup. After that there are two types of alcohol mixed in — usually your choice between gin or vodka.
