It’s a problem with the charger most likely, but also may be a battery issue so it won’t hurt to take it in and ask what they think is going on.
When a laptop battery dies or “goes flat,” you need to plug in or remove the power source for about 30 seconds before trying to charge again. If that still doesn’t work, contact customer service from where you bought your laptop from – they should be able to either replace your charger, give you an adapter that will work, or answer any other query you might have. In some cases, it can happen that there is not enough time left for even this simple procedure if the battery was dead.
