Before humans, there were no traces of bananas. Bananas were first cultivated by people from Southeast Asia about 5,000 years ago in the lowland jungles because they have complex soils that are not easily found elsewhere. Around 300 AD during the heyday of the Maya civilization, evidence shows that banana cultivation was well established in central America too. So clearly bananas would exist if humans didn’t create them because we specifically grew them for our own purposes.
